Makeup and Lipcare

Heyyyy!
Today will be reviewing VOV Lipsticks. This was my very first buy from the VOV lipstick range, I've mostly used Revlon, Maybelline, Chambor and Lakme. Was a lil reluctant as my lips are already pigmented so don't prefer to experiment on 'em but decided to take this bold decision and trust me I'm not regretting it. So here they are lippies from VOV.

I personally loved the colours, texture and staying power but yeah they ain't too glossy so give a slight matt effect and with the summers advancing I would suggest a gloss or lipbalm. Now the best part is the price at Rs.80/- they are a great buy. Packaging is ok not too classy but yes I would love to buy some more. Also as I mentioned I've never used VOV products before as am very conscious about the cosmetics I use but this product did not cause me any side effects. The con being not all shades are available, also the price will vary and you won't find this product in the comfort of a renowned mall :P

A quick and inexpensive way to ex-foliate lips is to mix few granules of sugar in your moisturizer or cream and gently massage for 2-3 mins on ur lips and wipe off.

Beauty n Skincare

Hiya Beauties,
With cosmetics and makeup being the most happening topic in our lives am sure we all use different makeup with different brand names, also we spend time applying it but removing it is also equally important so our skin can breath. Since I generally use waterproof concealer removing it is a tedious task and the products that helps me in doing so are Shahnaz Husain's Shamoon Sandalwood Cleansing Lotion and the other being Biotique's Cleanser but will be reviewing that later.
Enriched with Sandalwood, Gulab Ark, Chandan Oil, Tulsi, Khus is not only a great cleanser but also soothes the senses with it's mild fragrance. A bottle of 100ml is priced at 475/- INR I have a combination skin and this works well for me and it claims to suit oily skin. Definitely a good buy.

Skincare

Helloooo!
Summer is here so time for floral prints, nice cotton clothing, cool beverages...also time to keep your body and skin hydrated and protected. So here goes todays blog bout a nice hydrating skin mask, made from Aloe Vera and Cucumber by Fabindia. This mask in gel form gel gives a nice cooling effect as well as hydrates the skin. Although being aware of naturally healing properties of Aloe Vera, I was unable to use it in it's direct concentrated form due to a very sensitive skin type, as doing so would cause rashes. My skin being super sensitive, especially to sunlight this cream was a refreshing experience for my sun exposed skin. Priced at 175/- INR is a good buy.

Makeup

Hi beauties,
Would like to show you my latest haul... having a combination skin and summer setting it I always had a problem with my makeup, especially my foundation as it wipes off due to heat and perspiration, further more I have freckles and due to my irregular sleeping hours have dark under eye circles so am very conscious about 'em and hence the need of applying foundation on daily basis. Finally after being obsessed with finding the perfect foundation and concealer I bought MAC cosmetics.

1. Pro longwear concealer, which is a waterproof concealer that I use for undereye circles, a darker shade than my skin tone, NW35, Priced at INR 1000/-

2. Studio Fix Powder for a mild coverage, NC42 priced at INR 1600/-
For those who are new to MAC, am sure you guys will be a bit confused as to what exactly NC and NW stand for, no worries they simply mean Neutral Cool NC for those who have yellow undertones or wheatish skin where as NW means Neutral Warm which is for people who have Red/Pink undertones in their skin. Sometimes though like me you could use both to get required results.
Both the above mentioned products are fabulous and have given me great results, studio fix stays on for a long time and gives a matt effect with an even skin tone, so works well for my combination skin. I know they seem a lil heavy on the pocket but they are definitely worth it but make sure you select the right shade.
When it comes to makeup we, women do a lot of impulse buying and am sure most of us have bought stuff that we've regretted buying, so when you go to buy makeup make sure you try it on and check it out in different lighting as well as indoor and outdoors. I know it's so very hard to walk away when you've liked a particular product but trust me when after trying out various brands and their products and not succumbing to the temptation when you finally get the PERFECT makeup the euphoria one feels cannot be explained....just felt...so go ahead don't be afraid to try out different products and remember sales gals or SA's are not always right, so if u're not satisfied with the results don't splurge.....happy shopping!! :D
