Life Rocks!!!

Hi All,
I have been a lil upset over trivial issues in my life and so I tried to surround myself with all the positive words, thoughts and people who would guide me and bring back my optimistic approach towards life. Unfortunately today I came across many individuals who were upset over some thing or nother. I realised how these inconsequential lil things take over our lives and alter the picture we wish to create. Am no expert on giving motivational speeches or a counselor but I came across few very positive thoughts and wish to share 'em with all my friends out there.

" THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS A LIFE OF PURPOSE ".... The Monk who sold his Ferrari

So to conclude Life is Phenominal and you are the creator and masterpiece of your own life, so go ahead paint the most beautiful picture you can. Life truly Rocks! ;D

I'm sure you all are smiling by now :D keep smiling always

Lotsa Love
Priyanka :D

My First Ever Smokey Eyes

Hiya Readers,
This is my first ever smokey eyes look. I have tried to create da look using classic colours like, pearl white for shimmer, metallic gold and dark brown for an intense look.

I've used the brown for contouring and under the lower eyelid and pearly white under my eyebrows.

Pardon me since the images don't show the exact colours, which happen to be pretty dark compared to the ones you can see.

I need you views and suggestions on my efforts since am an amateur when it comes to the smokey eyes look :)

Maybelline ColorSensational Lipcolor 275

Hiya Beauties,
Today will be reviewing Maybelline ColorSensational Lipcolor 275, Crazy For Coffee.

I so love the super smooth texture and mild chocolaty fragrance. A lovely coffee coloured lipstick that's moisture enriched, gives a lovely finish to the lips even without a gloss. Staying power is not too good but for those on the lookout for a nice subtle lipcolour to be worn daily, it is a good buy. Priced at Rs.299/- is worth the outlay :)

Lakme Gold Dust Shimmer Bronzer

Hiya lovely ladies,
Hope you all doing great, today will be reviewing the Lakme Gold Dust Shimmer Bronzer.

This is my first ever bronzer and honestly I'm in love wid it. For all those who are not comfortable with shimmer and glitter, please don't go by the name. I was on a shopping spree and was on a look out for a good blush, MAC, Revlon, Lakme, Maybelling, Colourbar, Chambor, Max Factor, I tried it all, actually what I really was looking for was a very subtle face illuminator that gives a mild flush to the cheeks.

Since I have a very oily and sensitive skin I don't use liquid face illuminators as they make my face too oily. So cumming back to my blush hunt, well I tried this product just outta sheer curiosity and BINGO! it was an instant hit. It's very lite and when you apply it, it gives a a lil shine that subsides within minutes and imparts a lovely glow to the your cheeks.

Priced at Rs.450/- it is an awesome bargain. Will I buy it again YES, YES, of course YES!

When you buy it, the glitter on the top mite alarm you but just dust the top layer of glitter away with your blush brush and your ready to go. Lemme know your views bout the same. Take Care

Skin Care - Homemade Face Brightner

Hiya Lovelies,
You all must've guessed by now am more of a beauty blogger and most of my posts are bout skin care and makeup. Makeup is important to hide imperfections but a good skin care regime for a radiant skin is a must. Further more when your skin looks and feels nice it brightens up your spritz. So coming back to my post, I love to indulge in the world of beauty and today will be sharing a very crucial facet of my skin care regime. My skin type, it is extremely oily and sensitive skin so I can't use very harsh products thus try to keep 'em natural as much as possible.

Thus my homemade face and body brightener, this acts like a face pack, scrub and also like a face wash, it's not very effective for waterproof makeup removal but for a nice wash that livens up the skin it's just perfect.

The ingredients for this face brightener are to be mixed in the ration 4;1, 4 parts of Besan and Uptan Powder and 1 part of all remaining ingredients.
  1. Besan Powder - 4 Tsp Powder
  2. Uptan Powder - 4 Tsp Powder
  3. Chandan Powder - 1 Tsp Powder
  4. Rakta Chandan Powder - 1 Tsp Powder
  5. Ambi Haldi Powder - 1Tsp Powder
  6. Multani Mitti - 1Tsp Powder

Pass all da ingredients through a strainer so you get an even textured powder. You can mix this powder with water and use it as a face pack or face and body wash. This mixture can also be used in various ways depending on your skin type, climate and end result that u want.

You can mix it with.....
To get a nice cooling feel and also acts as a toner, reduces pore size and is very mild for sensitive skin.

With milk, whole milk for dry or normal skin and skimmed milk for oily skin to get a soft and supple skin. It is also helpful in reducing dark spots.

With curd makes the skin glow and is great for exfoliating skin due to lactic acid present in it and is useful for sunburns too. It also imparts essential moisture to the skin.

With honey it gives the skin glow, retains moisture and is good for moisturizing oily skin too. Due to it's natural antioxidant properties it helps protect the skin from sun damage.

Lemon juice, due to it's acidic properties it dries the skin when used alone but with this mixture it lightens freckles, brightens up the skin and reduces pigmentation. It is also extremely helpful for acne, blemishes and even scars.

Orange Peels are generally present in Uptan ( Used during Diwali ) but if not you can add 'em to this mixture coz they act as a good skin cleansers, enhances your complection and are useful for blackheads or whiteheads.

I know it has a revolting smell but is extremely useful for skin firming and tightening, egg yolk contains Vitamin A which is a strong anti-wrinkle vitamin. It also reduces inflammation and pore size.
Other than all the above mentioned natural skin enhancers, drinking ample water, regular exercise and an optimistic approach towards life is what makes you all so pretty, doesn't it....so whatcha waiting for smile away coz Life Rocks!!! :D

Do lemme know your views and suggestions on this post.

Hiya Folks!
You must've guessed by now I LOVE RAINS :D

The cool breeze and the rhythmic drumming of the rain drops against my window, that's what I've been doing for the last 3 days, just enjoying the rains, finding reasons to get outta da house and ways to pretend I forgot my raincoat :P he he it's been fun and there has been a drastic change in my diet.

Fried stuff is not a part of my diet, u'll understand what I mean when I tell you I eat a wada-pav or samosa once in 2-3 months. But last 3 days it's become a kinda daily ritual to eat a steaming hot samosa-pav / wada-pav and a plate full of kanda/mirchi bhaji ;) after purposefully getting wet in the rains He He! And while I have fun savoring this tantalizing delights I make it a point to carry wid me a small box of homemade shezwan chutney at all times, surprised?? Chauko nahi taste karo, honestly folks try having shezwan chutney/sauce wid a plate of kanda bhaji/ samosa/wada-pav, tust me it tastes divine, especially in this awesome weather. A wise man once said " The Best Things In Life Are FRIED!" :p all am doing his taking his advice.

Aur aise mouthwatering khane ke baad ek cup garma garam chai toh banti hai boss ;) .... majanu life!
So guys n gals what r ya waiting for, pull on ur capri's, shorts, bermudas and those colourful tees and flipflops and get out, for a nice bike ride or just a scroll in the rains, just go out there, have fun ....haan haan sardi hojaygi, bache hain, naukri hai, responsibility hai.... chaddo yaar, ek din keliye hi sahi, just try and imitate your kid and trust me u'll have the time of your life, splash away coz Life Rocks!!!

Street Wear Nail Lacquer

Hiya Beauties,
Today will be reviewing Street Wear Nail Lacquer in Sparkling Murve. I came across this shade while on a shopping spree in mumbai and just had to have it. It is a beautiful shade of Murve with tiny glitter particles yet it's not very gaudy or shimmery.

A double coat gives a rich colour and it lasts long. I generally opt for browns, nudes or pastel colours for daily wear but this colour was too pretty to be ignored.

Looks lovely on long as well as short nails, Priced at Rs.90/- is a great buy.
Do lemme know your views bout the same, take care :D
