My MAC :) Experience With The Brand

Hiya Beauties,
Today will be reviewing the brand and it's products that I just can't do without. They are.....
  • MAC Prolong concealer in NW 35
  • MAC Prolong Foundation in NC 40
  • MAC Studio Fix Powder ib NC 42

MAC Pro longwear Foundation, with SPF 10.

Staying power is true to it's name, around 8-10hrs wid ease but one needs to moisturize the face b4 applying, even a gal like me who has a super oily skin. Even if I splash water on my face and dab it away it stays put.

Priced At INR 1,700/- is in a way is expensive but a tiny blob is enough for my whole face and so goes a long way so the price is justified as long as I'm concerned. I just wet my fingers bf applying and blend it with few drops of water and then apply it with a brush or finger tips.

It evens out skin tone beautifully and looks like a second skin. In all the pictures that I click in my blog I've used this product and this is the perfect foundation for me.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, NW 35

My work and my lifestyle involves a lot of driving and working on computers, besides which I also have a bad habit of reading anything and everything that I come across which puts a lot of strain on my eyes. My sleep timing are weird too and I sleep for 5hrs max, so you can guess how much I exploit my eyes and the result being dark circles and tired eyes. I use to have a problem applying kohl coz of dark circles coz then I'd have racoon eyes :P .

After hunting for many concealers from big brands like Revlon, Elizabeth Arden, Diana of London, Chambor, Max Factor, Bourjois, Avon, Maybelline....phewww but no matter how gud they would either wash away due to my oily skin and those that stayed would settle into fine lines thereby making 'em visible, finally I came across MAC and hit the jackpot, the moment I used it I knew this was it, my hunt was over. It's been an inseparable part of me ever since.
I apply it the same way as my foundation.
Price INR 1,000/-

MAC Studio Fix Power Foundation

Now this is an absolute beauty and gem of a product. It gives coverage along with soaking up the oily shine from my face. One can pair it up with a foundation or else if you love very minimal makeup then wear it alone. It evens out skin tone beautifully and I personally feel every gal who loves makeup has to have one of this in her purse, at all times.

It's not a very long staying product since it's in powder form but despite that I would strongly advocate it. I would recommend it especially to those who wanna look good but don't have too much time to spare, a quick swipe with your brush, a dash of gloss, mascara and u're good to go.

After a hectic day that plans to end wid friends I do a quick touch up with this and it instantly makes me look fresh and radiant, top it with a nice bronzer and walla! Am ready :)

Price INR 1,600/-

Me without any makeup 'et all and with my most prized treasure trove :D

All the 3 products listed above are an integral part of my makeup routine, I've never experienced any breakouts, allergies or any other skin problems after using 'em. I would request all the readers to 1st take samples from the SA, try 'em out 3-4 times, indifferent environment, lighting and time of the day and if you're satisfied only then go ahead with the buy, esp since they are a bit pricey.

Also plz plz plz check for a correct match, a lighter foundation dose not mean u'll look fair, it will just make you look white and highlight all the small imperfections on your face. Have patience and you, yourself be the judge of what really matches your skin tone and skin.

These products have worked for me, it's for you to find out if they work for you too, I really hope they do :)

Lotsa Love

VOV, My experience with the brand

Hiya Friends,
Yesterday I happened to have a discussion bout VOV lippies with my fellow bloggers Zara n Anamika, the heart n soul of wiseshe.com, a very informative site regarding skincare and makeup, do make it a point to visit it.
Coming back to VOV, I know some of us are skeptic using products from this brand and seriously doubt the quality of these products taking into account their pricing which is very inexpensive, I too use to feel the same. Yet I did take the risk of trying their lippies for the sole reason that I just loved the colours, that happened to be very subtle and nice for everyday use and was tempted to buy 'em. I've reviewed VOV lippies (click for review) before but today will be sharing reviews of my 5 most favorite lippies from this Brand.

  • Packaging: Nice and sleek stick, the outer casing represents the exact colour of the lippie which is gr8.
  • Staying Power: 2-3hrs, dose not live upto the claim of long stay.
  • Price at INR 130/- but the prices of all VOV products vary from store to store.
  • I, personally have not faced any problem of allergy or darkening of lips etc.
  • Availability, the biggest con of this product, one cannot locate it in all stores, as far as u're a Punekar, you can get these in Betee, shop no 56 at Clover Centre, MG road.
  • Nother con is that not all colours have an apt name, like the ones below, pink is no where close to pink but more towards brown n the likes. So don't go by the name.
  • Testure: Creamy with a mild smell like a lip balm, though few of you may not like it.

19 Natural Brown (Peach), 16 Pink (not 'et all pink, it's a pinkish brown), 11 Cabernet

This is one lip colour I don't leave my house wid out, it's there in my purse at all times, apply it alone and it gives a very natural looking glossy tint to the lips, pair it with a liner and it turns into a very beautiful lippie, making your lips luscious and quite edible and finally if you team it up wid a bold colour, it reduces the intensity and gives a very beautiful finish and adds the extra oomph to ur face n lips..... A must have and my all time favourite lippie, since I love very natural n subtle colours.
  • Comes in a lovely pen type casing with a twist applicator so it doesn't get all icky n messy and ensures full use of the product. Also it's not 'et all sticky.
  • Again the name is quite defying but this is a very very lovely pinkish brown colour.
  • Price: INR 295/- again price may vary.

This colour dose not have a name, but is numbered 11, again a pinkish brown shade but a lil darker one.

It belongs to the long stay range and stays on for a good 5-6hrs but you need to keep topping it up wid a gloss after you eat or drink something or if your lips dry out, else it will flake.

Equipped with a doe foot applicator, it's a breeze to apply and define even without a liner.

Wait for a min after applying it, let it dry and then immediately apply gloss on top that comes along with it.
The gloss adds the hydrated and kissable look that's necessary for the otherwise matte finish of this lippie. Phewwww so I hope this review was a lil helpful for those who've never tried VOV lippies b4, Take Care n have a Happy and Safe Diwali.

Lotsa Love n Smiles

Maybelline, 118 Splendor Plum

Hiya Beauties,
Just a quickie bout a very hot colour in Maybelline Lippies, it's the Splendor Plum, the name says it all.

Packaging is Nice and belongs to the family of reds as per the casing colour.

From the colour sensational range this colour is a bit bold but not loud.Combined with tiny glitter particles this colour looks all the more luscious.

Staying is around 2-3hrs but it fades beautifully leaving behind a beautiful plummy tinch on my lips

Priced at INR 220/- is a real steal, don't miss it.

A lovely colour for this festive season, adds an oomph to my face, defines the lips beautifully, pic without the liner.

Yes, yes and Yesssss I will buy it again and will be suggesting it to all my buddies too. Take my word, you won't regret buying it. Take Care and have a fab Diwali :)

Lotsa Love

Happy Feet!!!

YIPEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! :):):):):):):):):)
Heyyyy All, naaaaa I've not gone crazy but am really really reeeeeeeeelly happy coz of my recent Diwali gift. My very close pal has gifted me a very beautiful pair of heels and I am so in love wid 'em. They are in a very sexy blood red colour and a very gorgeous pattern. With medium heels they are super comfy and again I'm in love wid 'em :D......

This blissful buy is from Metro shoes, Kareena being their brand ambassador and these beauties are from her pic of the month range.
I'd love to pair 'em up with a knee length skirt or a lovely pair of capris on second thought, with the festive season around the corner they'd look nice on chunnidar as well :D

Man! I don't wanna take 'em off but I also don't wanna ruin 'em :P

Available in a cream colour as well and priced at INR 1190/- are a must have. Also I'd suggest you folks to visit Metro shoe store coz they have come up with a wide range of footwear with many amazing patterns, styles and colours and all are decently priced. Apart from footwear they have a noteworthy collection of handbags too so make sure you note it down in your Diwali Shopping list to visit Metro once ;)

Chalo then folks lotsa more Diwali Shopping coming your way, till then let me tap away to the rhythm of my Happyyyyyy Feet!

Lotsa Love n Best Wishes

Chambor, 903 Truly Murve

Hiya Folks,
Hope you all had a gr8 week, lotsa stuff to share wid you folks but todays just a quick post on one of new lippie that has been quick to secured a place in my favorite collection. I was as always making a futile effort to surpass the cosmetic counter but Chambor being one of my favourite brand for lippies and also considering the fact it has been a long time (A month back :P) since I shopped for Chambor beauties so I decided to just take a peek and phir kya tha, I came across this beauty and just had to have it :D It's called Truly Murve, 903 and it's a very pretty pinkish murve colour.

  • Packaging is lovely as always

  • It's a very subtle colour n can be worn at anytime of the day. It goes well with Indian as well as western attire.

  • Priced at Rs.675/- is a good buy, the only con being the quantity of the product which is 1.9g

  • The lasting power is around 5-6hrs and even after it fades it leaves behind a just bitten colour on my lips.

  • I love the creamy texture and feel of this lippie and you don't need to apply a lip balm or even a gloss since it imparts a lovely shine to the lips and keeps 'em moisturized.... it defines my lips beautifully, even without a liner, I just love.....love....love it! :)
Lemme know if you've tried Chambor lippies and your views bout 'em, also share details bout your fav pick from Chambor....chalo then me off to bed, you fellas take care n have a gr8 time shopping for Diwali :)

Lotsa Love n Tonnes of Smiles
Priyanka :)
